I would recomend you to first read following document to understand what is InterVlan routing:

Then you will need first of all for yourself to understand why you need it, what are the platofrms involved in it, what is the network diagram. Then you can use the same document or the one for your specific platform to configure that.

Inter vlan routing means if you want to communicate two different vlan in networks you have to configure intervlan routing .normally it required layer 3 switch or router .it is essential in the big networks and big companies .In big network we can see lot of vlan if you want to communicate different vlans we are using
Example

Vlan : account
Vlan : sales

If you want to communicate the sales vlan to account vlan in network you have to configure the intervlan routing
The command which used to enable in the inter vlan is
go to the global configuration mode

Switch # config t
Switch(config)#ip routing

The network devices in different VLANs cannot communicate with one another without a router to forward traffic between the VLANs. In most network environments, the VLANs are associated with individual networks or subnetworks.

For example, in an IP network, each subnetwork is mapped to an individual VLAN. In an IPX network, each VLAN is mapped to an IPX network number. Configuring the VLANs helps to control the size of the broadcast domain and keeps the local traffic local. When an end station in one VLAN needs to communicate with an end station in another VLAN,

interVLAN communication is required. This communication is provided by interVLA

Hi,

IEEE 802.1Q is the networking standard that supports Virtual LANs (VLANs) on an Ethernet network. The standard defines a system of VLAN tagging for Ethernet frames and the accompanying procedures to be used by bridges and switches in handling such frames.
