Hi,
I have a Cisco 1841 router and one WIC-1SHDSL Card. We have ADSL internet connection though ISP but i am unable to connect using this card. What i believe is that this WIC does not supports ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ connection types. Below is my configuration.
!
controller DSL 0/0/0
line-mode 2-wire line-zero
line-rate auto
!
interface FastEthernet 0/0
ip add 195.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.248 - Public IP
ip add 192.168.92.1 255.255.2550 secondary
ip nat inside
no shutdown
!
interface ATM0/0/0
no ip address
no atm ilmi-keepalivies
!
interface ATM0/0/0.1 point-to-point
ip add 172.16.66.84 255.255.255.252
ip nat outside
pvc 8/80
encapsulation aal5snap
!
ip nat inside source list 1 interface FastEthernet 0/0 overload
!
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.16.66.83
!
access-list 1 permit 192.168.92.0 0.0.0.255
!

Hello Shareef,
your guess is correct
>>>What i believe is that this WIC does not supports ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+
SHDSL is a different type of DSL with symmetric upstream/downstream rates and it can not be used over an ADSL* line as you have tested.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
