How to detect traffic that indeed coming to router?

I would like to know wat is the best way to detect a stateful connection of a traffic so that it indeed coming in from the source to the destination thru a router..

Hi Cindy,

Kindly provide some more specific details to what you are trying to acheive.

Probably ACLs with "established" feature or reflexive ACL will help you to achieve what you are trying to.

By using any of the above mentioned IOS feature, you can allow traffic to get initiated in only one direction, Not the otherway around.

While a normal ACL with established keyword, provides a minimal control, reflexive ACLs provides a more enhanced way to restrict traffic based on its state( direction)
