how to limit bandwidth internet traffic (download / ingress traffic), at the same times, there is a IPSEC traffic -in direction too

Dear All,

There is always one thing in my mind,

how to limit bandwidth internet traffic (download / ingress traffic), at the same times, there is a IPSEC traffic (using same internet) with direction ingress too.

Can I use rate limit?

Where should I put it? At LAN interface, or at ISP side interface?

And, what direction should it be (in our out)

What in my mind, that is from the internet link it self, it already fill with the IN traffic (non ipsec), so if I limit it from my router, it will be useless?

Thanks,

Jerri

This forum is for Voice and

This forum is for Voice and Video questions, yours is something completely different.

Might want to try the routing forums, or search something like "rate limit" and see in which community those are.
