hi.
Master rsp(slot2) of c7507 is rebooted because of crash.
currently, slave rsp is slot2
master rsp is slot3.
rsp of slot2 is hardware faulty
so i replace slot2 rsp.
i think below work order
1. slot3 rsp is removed.
2. slot3 rsp is moved at slot2 position.
3. new rsp is inserted at slot3
4. 7507 is rebooting
slot2 and slot3 image is using pcmcia card.
I would like know any configruation
what config is newly needed at
new rsp and old rsp

Hi
These are the perquisites to have proper functioning of the standby RSP in the event of failures.
The RSP shuld have the same boot image, the same ROM monitor, and the same DRAM configuration as the active .
Also refer this link which talks about the reduandcy configs/monitoring in different RSP modules..

As long as both RSPs are equal, you only need to replace the RSP in slot 2. Slot 3 is up and active, you should remove the RSP in slot 2 and replace it with the new. They are hot swappable.
I keep my Config and IOS on PCMCIA cards and the boot variables set to the cards. Once the new processor is in slot two and the PCMCIA cards are in the appropriate card slot in the RSP, you should be all done. I had to do this a few months ago. We are running RPR+ for redundancy. There was no down time during this swap. You do not need to swap back to RSP 2 as your active unless you so choose. That's the beauty of this redundant processor router.
