HSRP Problem

Hi,

In our HSRP congiguration , we are facing one problem. We have formed HSRP

between two fast ethernet ports of 3845.

We are not tracking any interfaces. In normal operation I can see low priority ( 100 default ) router in standby mode and second router ( priority 150) as an active mode. When we physically remove gigabit port of second router , it still shows the active mode status and first jumps into active. We still get responce to the outside world via first router. Also after restoring gigabit port original condition is restored.

Any suggestions..
