HSRP & VRRP both routers CSR1000v active

Hi guys,

I have a pair of CSR1000V running in a vmware infrastructure. I have a slight issue with FHRPs, I tried both hsrp and vrrp and symptomps are the same. When preemption is enabled, the router preempt and becomes active, but the other one stays active, anyone has seen this issue?

This might be a obvious question, but can each node "see" each other i.e. does a "show standby" show the HSRP neighbor and the relevent priorities?

Yes, before the preemption happens they see eachother, and right after they don't anymore in both router with either hrsp or vrrp.

I did not try glbp since it is not an option here, the routers are dmvpn hubs (dual cloud) and i need a prefered route.

Any ideas what I should check?
