Re: HSRP

Hi,

Didnt get exactly what you are looking for. You generally configure HSRP on your LAN side for the High avaialbility. You donot configure the HSRP on the serial/WAN interfaces.

If more questions, Pls. revert.

Re: HSRP

If you meant load balancing between both routers, than HSRP cannot do that. Only one active router is allowed in HSRP. You can try GLBP:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t15/ft_glbp.htm

But if you have 4 VLANs for example, you can make one router active for 2 VLANs and the other router active for the other 2 VLANs.

Re: HSRP

you can achieve load balancing as well as high availability with HSRP but you shd run two process on bothe the routers making one standy of the other & vice versa
