Identifying routers and switches
Hi everyone, my problem is not strictly technical but I did not know where to post.
I have been given a list of model numbers and serial numbers from Cisco routers and switches. I have been tasked with identifying them and locating product pictures.
Can anyone suggest the most effective way I can do this and best source of information? I have asked Cisco if there is a picture bank but it seems not. I?d appreciate any pointers.
Thanks

You might try browsing Cisco product pages.
e.g.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/index.html
If current equipment, you should be able to find by model. Usually photos of the product too.

Thanks for that. I have only just found this section of site. My problem comes when there is 7 models in the series. Just time-consuming and I'd hoped Cisco might have a searchable database. Thanks again.
