if this two module 7300-4OC3POS-SMI and
PA-POS-OC3SML can connecter directly,
just like 5486 connect 5487.

Hi,
You should be able to link these two together. However, you will have to use an appropriate optical attenuator because the transmit level from the SML port will be much higher than the receiver on the SMI can handle.

then what will happen if there is no optical attenuator ,the module's port will be damaged or they
can't communicate.
RATE THIS POST is which module options,if it is on the module 's faceplate.

Yes, you are likely to damage the port if you don't use an attenuator.
