Implement a Redundancy Link

Hi All

I've a site connected to the H.Q.i just need to implement a Redundancy Link to H.Q.Trough Route-Map(Primary Link it will be Wirless Link;The second it wil be Leased line)so PLS Can u list the config of the router(2620S) in the Site.

!I Think Pareh was list the config,But i dont know where.

Hi,

If the purpose of having a redundant link is backup, then you can manipulate the cost of the other link if you are using a dynamic routing protocol or by increasing AD if using static route. This should effectively utilize your primary link & upon failure utilize the secondary link.

PBR (route-map) are used more when you want to policy some specific traffic thru one link & some specific traffic thru other.

Please provide more details on your setup & current config.

10xs for ur reply. the Purpose of having redundant link is sure the backup.The config not ready yet also the whole design design.this why i've consulting in this great form to advising me to the Optimum Solution.if u have like this situation what u will do. PS list Ur config

Hi Ali,

For LAN redundant design you can plan for etherchannel , STP, HSRP or GLBP

Have a look at these links
