Inter vlan routing problem

Hi,

i tried to archive the inter valn rotuing using layer 3 switch.i can ping every PC between different vlans.But i cannot ping router interface.Netwrok diagram is attached for your reference.

Hi cadet

I define the managment vlan on core switch and layer 2 switch.But its not working

managment vlan Ip on layer 3 switch  192.168.50.253

management vlan on layer 2 switch   192.168.50.254     ip-default gateway  192.168.50.253

Hi Junaid,

What model of L2 switch you are having?  You have created multiple SVI interface on this switch hence i hope it would be able to do routing as well.On the switch you are calling as "Layer 2 switch" add below line and see if that helps

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.50.253

If this is not working then please share below output from the L2 switch.

show ip int brief

show ip route

Hi,

I am using 2950 as layer 2 switch.Above command is not working in layer2 switch.below is output.Interface vlan 50showing me down hoever i issue no shut down command still down

Have you created a L2 vlan for vlan 50 here? If not try

config terminal

vlan 50

name managment

exit

After this if this is still not working could you please share the output of below command from this L2 switch.

sh ip int brief

sh vlan

sh int trunk

sh cdp nei details
