Interface Monitoring

Hello all,

I've got a quick question.  Is there a way, in IOS, to setup interface monitoring, or tracking?  I've got a few T1's that I've been having trouble with setup in a multilink configuration, but if one goes down, I don't know about it due to being configured in a multilink group.

Is there any way to setup interface monitoring in the IOS, or can anyone recommend a good 3rd party tool to do this job?

Thanks!

Re: Interface Monitoring

Hello Jonathan,

to find out what interfaces are up in a PPP multilink bundle you can use

sh ppp multilink

also, if syslog messages are sent to syslog server you can get info about interface going down with typical message.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
