Within one minute this morning, our 3745 logged four %LINK-3-UPDOWN "changed state to up" messages on a Fast Ethernet interface, with no down messages in between them.
It's a busy interface that has otherwise been stable. IOS 12.4(15)T7 Anyone seen this before? Should we worry? Thanx.

to make sure you get the up/down notifications configure "logging event link-status" on the interface. If you have MRTG or some other way to verify traffic over the interface you could verify if traffic has been reduced since these logs appeared.

Thank you Patrick. I added the explicit event logging. I haven't seen a change in our MRTG but with the 5-minute averaging interval it might have to be down a while to show up. Haven't seen any more messages yet.
