Internet Router/Switch Question

Question for you guys, it seems simple but I must be missing something

1. 1 Cisco 3600 Router

2. Int fa0/0 is for the Internet

3. Int fa0/1 is for the LAN

4. fa0/0 is for the WAN connection going into the firewall

5. fa0/1 is going into a 3750 switch

6. The LAN port of the firewall is connect to g1/0/3 of the 3750 in VLAN30

Right now all is working ok. Users able to browse the internet but I am unable to ping the IP of VLAN1 on the 3750. On the 3750 I set up a VLAN 30 which is for my primary ISP. From the 3600 fa0/1 is plugged into g1/0/2 of the 3750 on VLAN30. If I do a CDP nei I can see the router but cannot ping it even though it is on the same subnet.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Is "ip routing" enabled on the 3750? If not, you may need a "ip default-gateway" command pointing toward the 3600.

The 3750 has ip default gateway to the 3600. Thanks

isdollsm,

Is "ip routing" enabled ont eh 3750? To get to the VLAN1 interface from the 3600, you have to route through the VLAN30 interface on the 3750. If ip routing is note enabled, you cannot do this.

Also, to be clear, the problem is that you cannot ping either the 3750 VLAN30 or VLAN1 interfance on the 3600? Also, what vlan are the users on?

Can you post your configs, it would help troubleshoot the issue...
