Re: IOS for 2 Different Router Models

Hi,

Pretty much yes. Infact the IOS is Platform and Feature set 'based' ie if you want to download an IOS, first it will ask for the platform (i.e. 1700 or 1800)and then the featureset (i.e. Enterperise Plus or IP Plus) and most of the cases it works fine across the same platform irrespective of the WICs or any cards/modules (some exceptions are there).

A good reference could be found at the URL below:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/732/downloadsw.shtml

And to download the IOS you may follow the URL which goes step by step.

http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/index.shtml

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards,

Wilson Samuel

Re: IOS for 2 Different Router Models

Hi

The image you have supplied is specific to 1721.

1720 does not run "advanced security" images.

You can check that yourself by

www.cisco.com/go/fn
