Re: IOS memory Requirements precisions

Hello,

I want to upgrade my router in IOS 12.3;at the upgrade planner it is indicate 16MB flash minimum and the size( next URL) it is indicate 16,300MB.

The upgrade abort with 16Mb of flash with the message "not enough space".

What précisions are the memory requirements at the CCO ? Is it a error on the upgrade planner..

Can u post out the url and also the IOS naming details over here ??

from my personal exp we do follow the software advisor and other tools here to get reqd ios features onto our box...

and i feel thats the exp with other peopl too ..

Hi

The file size mentioned over there is in bytes once you get converted to Mega bytes it will be able to fit into the 16MB flash as presricbed in the first link.

I would suggest to post the show version and show flash output of your router here..

Hi

Are you trying to load up this new image after erasing the earlier one or doing normal clean upload ??

if u do it without erasing the older ios which is lying in ther i dont think u will be able to load it up succesfully.

But do remember to backup the older ios and erase it and try loading the new ios file..

also u didnt post out the show flash o/p here.
