IOS PPTP & Logging

Hi,

I have setup a 2600 series router running 12.3 IOS to provide PPTP client VPN access. All authentication requests etc are logged by the RADIUS server, however, I would also like the router to log user access to the syslog server i.e. date/time connected, username, disconnect time etc.

Currently only this is logged whenever a user connects/disconnects:

13/03/2009 14:41:19 Notice 363: *Mar 3 20:21:13.158: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access4, changed state to up

13/03/2009 14:40:19 Notice 361: *Mar 3 20:20:12.430: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access7, changed state to down

13/03/2009 14:40:18 Error 360: *Mar 3 20:20:11.437: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access7, changed state to down

13/03/2009 14:35:51 Error 358: *Mar 3 20:15:44.190: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access7, changed state to up

This is my config:

aaa new-model

vpdn enable

vpdn logging

vpdn logging user

!

vpdn-group VPN

! Default PPTP VPDN group

accept-dialin

protocol pptp

virtual-template 1

interface Virtual-Template1

ip unnumbered FastEthernet0/1

peer default ip address dhcp

compress mppc

ppp encrypt mppe auto required

ppp authentication ms-chap-v2

ppp timeout idle 21600

!

logging x.x.x.x

Any help would be graetly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: IOS PPTP & Logging

%LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Virtual-Access7, changed state to up

The interface hardware has gone either up or down.

Recommended Action: If the state change was unexpected, confirm the configuration settings for the interface.

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Virtual-Access7, changed state to down

The data link level line protocol has changed state.

Recommended Action: No action is required.
