IOS Upgrade

Hi,

We are planning to implemnt vpn on few of our routers,no wwe realized that we have base ios version and we need advanced security version. We bought the routers from a local vendor and thier response is very slow. may i know if teh upgradation to teh advanced version includes any charges or can i download the image directly from cisco. any way i can do it by myself without vendors help.

As this is an upgrade of your device's capabilities there will be charges involved under all circumstances.

I suggest you to search for other vendors in your area. You can locate them on cisco's site.

Otherwise, depending on which routers you have and the warrenty implied on them, you yourself can upgrade RAM, Flash and IOS...if you are a techie yourself...

Just purchase them online and upgrade yourself.
