IP MAC Accounting

We have a 7606 with Sup 720 3BXL and IOS Version s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF3.bin running. As the device is doing BGP Peerings over a Ethernet connection we want to messure the Traffic to each AS using mac accounting and MRTG. Unfortunately the counter does not work correctly and I can't find any infos related to a bug or so.

Has anyone a Idee what to do or have a better solution for our task?

the mac accounting feature is currently supported on Ethernet, FastEthernet, and FDDI interfaces and supports Cisco Express Forwarding (CEF), distributed CEF (dCEF), flow, and optimum switching.
