Theoretically, PAT(one public IP address) can support up to about 64500 transition depending on different port, but, suggestion is using NAT and PAT synchronously in the configuration.

hi,
if you have one C class public ip addresses, I suggest you:
1. several public ip addresses will be used to one to one map with VIP SERVER.
2. mostly public ip addresses will be in a nat pool and be used to transition.
3. one public ip address is used to PAT. as soon as the addresses in the nat pool are exhausted, PAT "comes on".
