Is there any reason why you need to enable ip pim sparse-mode on a loopback address? even if you point the RP to the loopback?

Hello Jeffrey,
when using auto RP, the mapping agent needs ip pim sparse-mode on its loopback interface to process advertisements from candidate RPs.
This is the only strict requirement I'm aware of.
