Hi,

does anyone know what the tunnel interface number is with the following command? Like, would it represent a predefined vlan or something like that?

========

6513(config-subif)#ip unnumbered tunnel ?

<0-2147483647> Tunnel interface number

No. Tunnels interfaces can have a arbitrary ID and that is what the CLI is telling you.

It is not common design to have 802.1q interfaces to be unnumbered, let alone from a tunnel interface.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks for the insight... what i'm trying to do is tunnel l2 to l3 traffic on a cat6500. would this ip ... command help me?
