IPSec VPN - High Availability/Failover

Does anyone know if it is possible to configure two routers (e.g.2901) with IPSec Tunnels using tunnel protection ipsc with high availability / failover for IPSec tunnels between routers. Point to Point tunnels in this case. I see references to gre tunnels but not tunnel protection

Yes, I believe it's possible.  On the same interface you can have tunnels go to different tunnel peers (determined by destination IP).  I also believe, you could have tunnels defined to use different interface on the same router (determined by source IP).

I should have been more

I should have been more elaborate:

I have two WAN routers at a site both of which I would like to have tunnels to same destination-router. I only get one usable address from the carrier (/30). I would like to use the carrier - external address as source for tunnels for both routers e.g. basically hsrp the external address where the tunnels would only be active on the secondary router if the primary router fails.

Ah, I understand.I don't know

Ah, I understand.

I don't know if something like that is possible.

With IPSec would also have a "state" issue if the tunnel could migrate to the other router.
