IPV6 and Frame Relay

To configure IPV6 for frame-relay mapping using global unicast address, must I do the mapping for link local address too???

2.Has RIPng and BGP for IPV6 been replaced with OSPFv3 and EIGRPv3 in the new CCIE exam.

Hello,

1.) Yes. For all IPv6 IGP routing protocols, the next-hop address is a link-local address. That requires creating the IPv6/DLCI mappings also for link-local addresses.

2.) I am not sure about RIPng. However, the RIPng is so simple that I would personally not even think about skipping it in my studies. Regarding the BGP for IPv6, the BGP cannot be replaced by any IGP routing protocol so the BGP will certainly be there. You can find the blueprint for the written and lab part here:

In the blue print, BGP for IPV6 and RIPng are not there thats why am asking...pls confirm.

Honestly, I don't know for sure and I cannot make a definitive statement here. But I am going to repeat myself: when studying for a CCIE, it is always good to know more than officially required. The RIPng is very simple, really. The BGP for IPv6 also does not pose any significant problems. As the lab blueprint does not specifically include it, even if they decide to put it in the lab, it will most certainly be only a basic configuration.

As to BGP for IPv6, it is there, but under a different name:

Multiprotocol BGP (MP-BGP), which is used to carry IPv6, Multicast and VPNv4 updates among others.
