IPV6 output interface

Hi

I have two routers connected R1-> F0/0 -----F0/0-> R2.

I have enabled ipv6

I try to ping the following address :FE80::CE00:1FF:FEB8:0

and specify the output interface. and get the error given below.

What is supposed to be the output interface in this case ?

R1#ping FE80::CE00:1FF:FEB8:0

Output Interface: fastethernet 0/0

% Bad interface

Sanjay,

You have to remove the space between the interface type and the interface number.
