I'm trying to configure a Websense box to use port span, manual states it needs to be bi-directional or add a 2nd NIC. I found this on Cisco, does the "both" command set the span to bi-directional?
The Catalyst 4500/4000, 5500/5000, and 6500/6000 series switches allow you to collect only egress (outbound) or ingress (inbound) traffic on a given port. You only need to add the keyword rx (receive) or tx (transmit) to the end of the command. The default value is both (transmit and receive). set span source_port destination_port [rx | tx | both]
