Hello Doug,

>> I can enable router isis but it will not accept network command

I would be surprised if it would be supported:

IS-IS doesn't use network command

on interface configuration where you want to run is-is use

int type x/y

ip router isis

do it on all interfaces including loopbacks

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Setup from lab book;

router isis

net 49.0001.1111.1111.1111.00

int fa0/0

ip router isis

After I enable isis on the router, when I try the next line is were I have my problem. I get ^ under net as unrecognized command.

Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,

I saw you have only 8M of Flash so you can use only 12.0 version but you need service-provider or enterprise-plus feature pack which both require 24M of RAM.

Laurent.

Thanks for the info. Would you know where I could find that kind of information? I have been looking over Cisco's site. I am thinking it is because it is older not much ifno is available.

Doug

Hi Doug,

The feature navigator was created for that purpose:

Laurent.

Thanks for the link and all the help.

Doug

Hello Doug,

in some old releases like 12.0 you need to enable clns routing to use the net command because the net is actually a CLNS address given to the node.

try

conf t

clns routing

router isis

net

This should help

hope to help

Giuseppe
