Hello,

I want to simulate ISDN connectivity in my lab, i have arrange two BRI cards on two different routers. with what cable shall i join these to routers (from BRI card). After i connect these two router with ISDn line, will i be able to trigger ISDn between the two, or something else will be needed ?

ISDN involves more than just connecting 2 routers back to back. You need something that will provide the functionality of the ISDN switch including the ISDN signaling. With HDLC or PPP you can function well with just back to back connections. But with ISDN I think you need some other device in the middle of the connection.

There are many devices which could do this. I have experience with the Adtran Atlas series and have found that it supports many implementations of ISDN (with SPID or without SPID, with several switch types). If you google for it you should find multiple references to it.

(note this is not a plug for the product and I have no interest in or relationship to the company)
