ISDN Dial-up howto?

Greetings,

I have an 1841 router eith a WIC-1B-U V2 card installed and not yet configued. The router also holds 2 WAN Ethernet connections through its FastEthernet ports Fa0/0 and Fa0/1.

I need to know where to start to have the following configuration:

-Test the ability of the ISDN WIC to initiate a dial up connection

-Bring up the ISDN connection

-Force the ISDN connection down

In the final configuration state, I need to have the 1841 periodically dial out (on a fixed schedule) whenever the Fa0/0 and Fa/01 ports are no longer carrying traffic.

Can anyone offer any guidance/help?

Hello,

If you never configured cisco and this is your first assignment, all this can take quite a time for you to learn, apply and test the configuration. The alternative would have a qualified person do that for you.

What do you have on the other side on the ethernet? To which router would you be calling with ISDN ?

These questions to point you in the right direction for configuration.
