ISDN PRI dialer map configuration question

I am using channelized PRI as backup for channelized E1. Channels in E1 are grouped to make a multilink according to different locations. In case a multilink goes down PRI should fire one of its channels.

I am confused about the configuration for dialer map.

Following is the config:

interface Serial5/7:15

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

dialer rotary-group 1

dialer-group 1

autodetect encapsulation ppp

isdn switch-type primary-net5

ppp multilink

!

interface Dialer1

ip address 10.2.30.1 255.255.255.0

encapsulation ppp

ip ospf demand-circuit

dialer in-band

dialer idle-timeout 60

dialer map ip 10.2.30.22 name CE-FAIZABAD broadcast 05278221289

dialer map ip 10.2.30.22 name CE-FAIZABAD broadcast 05278221290

dialer map ip 10.2.30.23 name CE-KANPUR broadcast 05122307760

dialer map ip 10.2.30.23 name CE-KANPUR broadcast 05122307765

dialer map ip 10.2.30.2 name DOCO-PRAGNARAYAN-LUK broadcast 2204602

dialer map ip 10.2.30.3 name DOCO-JAWAHARBHAWAN-LUK broadcast 2287630

dialer map ip 10.2.30.21 name CE-JHANSI broadcast 05172331786

dialer map ip 10.2.30.21 name CE-JHANSI broadcast 05172331758

dialer-group 1

ppp multilink

S5/7:15 is D channel for PRI. All the dialer maps used are for different physical locations. My confusion is as dialer 1 is using a /24 mask. In case I dial 2 channels for different locations then I will have 2 channels going to seperate /24 masks (physical locations). Will this cause any confusion in routing or the router or mux is intelligent enough in any sense to get it to work??

Hi

AFIAK i dont think that you will get onto the kinda problem you are worried about coz the hostname binding and the ip address binding attached with the dialer string (i.,dialer map)will take care of that.
