Hi,

I would like to know the best practice in redistributing external routes in to ISIS.

1) Whether it is better to redistribute externals to ISIS L1 or L2.(I mean the redistributing router to be L1 or L2).

2) If I want to redistribute externals to an L1 router,how the L1/L2 router advertise these external routes to the L2 routers,and also to the L1 routers in other areas..?

2) If I am redistributing externals to an L2 router,how it passes these external routes to other L2 routers and to L1 routers .

I would appreciate ,if you can point to some good urls covring these.
