We are using 3750 & 2960 switches in our network. The network is in star configuration with 3750 at the center and 2960 as the spokes. Each 2960 is in different VLAN & the internal network (hosts) of 3750 is in separate VLAN. EIGRP routing is implemented.
The data rates are about 1Mbps. However we have stringent jitter requirements, which is about 6 micro seconds. I would like to know about the jitter introduced by the 3750 & 2960 switches (disregarding the link jitter) on the packets. How QoS will help
Thank You

Hello Praneth,
>> How QoS will help
you should implement a priority queue to give better treatment to selected traffic flows (not to all traffic)
>> However we have stringent jitter requirements, which is about 6 micro seconds
stringent requirement indeed
Hope to help

Thank You for the reply.
Is there anyway I can get the exact(average) value of the Jitter.
Thanks
