Joining AP802 to 2125 WLC

Hi.

I'm having problem joining a AP802 access-point in a Cisco 887VAM-W router to a WLC2125 running 7.0.116.0. I get the following messages pasted below from the AP console. The AP connects to the WLC over a EZVpn tunnel with a ASA on the other end, and can't see any error messages there.

Any ideas?

Can you please provide the output of "dir"?

Wow! That was quick!

Here is the dir of the AP flash:

Wow.  You've got some "junk" files.

1.  delete /f /r flash:ap802-rcvk9w8-tar.124-23c.JA2.tar

2.   delete /f /r flash:ap802-k9w7-tar.124-25d.JAX.tar

3.  delete /f /r flash:ap802-k9w7-tar.124-25d.JAX.tar

Reboot WLC

4.  clear capwap ap controller ip address

5.  capwap ap controller ip address

Thanks for your reply.

I deleted the files/folders that you suggested and rebooted the controller and issued the commands, but the result seems to be the same.

In the controller I see the access-point from time to time, where it has status Downloading. The Primary SW version is 7.0.112.74 where all the other access-points hve version 7.0.116.0. Don't know if that makes any difference...

/Johan Christensson

I think that I found the reason. In the release notes for the 7.0.116.0 software it says:

"The Cisco 2100 Series Controllers do not support AP801 and AP802 access points"

That seems realy strange that a WLC that I understand is targetet for the same customers/company size that bye the 880-series routers......
