Hello Binoy,

1 hour for 30MB over a 64K line sounds ok, check this link, it has a calculator for transfer speeds:

File download speeds

Calculate download times or maximum file sizes.

http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/abouthp/accessibility/webaccessibility/download_tool.html

According to this calculator, it should take 78 minutes for the 30MB transfer...

GP your reply is pending.

just check your official mail

Binoy,

30MB = 30 *1024 * 1024 * 8 bits = 251658240 bits

Your line speed is 64000 bits / sec.

Time taken to transfer that many bits (ideally, neglecting serialization delays, propagation delays etc).

Time taken = 251658240 / 64000 = 3932.16 seconds

3932.16 seconds / 3600 = 1.09 hours.

Sounds about right.
