HI All,
Case:1
I have 2 equal cost links from my router for a single destination.
Is it possible to Load Balance using a "Static Route" for these links.
Case:2
I have 2 Unequal Cost Links from my Router for a single destination.
Is it possible to Load Balance using a "Static Route" for these Links.
Note:Kindly give me a Scenario with Cmds Syntax also if possible.
If "Static Route" is not possible means which Routing protocol will help me ! !
Thanks in Advance ! !
Thanks & Regards,

HI Guru,
BGP is the best protocol for these kind of scenario.
Case 1: It is possible to load balance if you have 2 equal cost paths to destinations using statice routes.
case2: If you want to load balance with 2 unequal cost paths to destination , better use BGP for load balancing the traffic.

HI Satish,
Thanks for your Infn.
But, CEF is possible on Cisco 7200, 8000 Series & above Models. I have Cisco 2811 Series Router with 2-FastEth Interfaces.
1.I would like to use Static Route(equal cost links) inorder to Load Balance.
Advice on my 2nd Point:
2.If static Route doesn't work means can i configure the Links as "Point-to-Point" Link for Load Balancing Requirement.
Awaiting for your Answers. Thanks in Advance

Where did get the idea that CEF is available only on high-end routers?
In fact, it is available on ALL Cisco routers and L3 switches.

If your biggest concern is balancing the bandwidth, you might want to look at something like content server switch/hardware load balancer.
There is even a module that you can put in your 2800 routers http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2797/products_data_sheet09186a008010fb9f.html

HI All,
My Version is:
c2800nm-advsecurityK9-mz.12.4-3C.bin
Kindly Confirm me whether this Supports:
CEF + Per Packet Load Balancing
CEF + Per Destionation Load Balancing
Note:Whether CEF & (Per-Packet & Per-Destination)Load Balancing is a Single Feature (or) two different Features.
ie.,If we have CEF Feature Enabled means can we use Per-Packet & Per-Destination Load Balancing (or) its an Unique Feature.
Awaiting for your Earlier Updates. Thanks in Advance ! !
