I have two link to same destination with equal cost. now I done want to use egirp since bth have same network ip scheme but dont want to broadcast all network each other. so we are going for perpacket load sharing. now my Q is: if any one of the link goes down is there any impact on my traffice flow. when i use load sharing per packet.
in addition to Vijaya's post, just be aware of the implications of using per-packet load balancing in combination with voice or streaming video traffic:
Using per-packet load balancing to share the traffic load across available paths to a given destination can cause out-of-sequence packets in a particular data flow. This can result in unsatisfactory data transmission for video and voice streaming.
In general, per-packet load balancing ensures a better distribution among both links, but it might cause problems due to the above. Have a look at this link as well for an explanation:
