longer prefix vs connected routes under EIGRP

-R1---R2-

R1 has connected route 10.1.1.0/24

R2 has static route of

ip route 10.1.1.5 255.255.255.255 next hop

R1 R2 run EIGRP, R2 redistribute the static route to EIGRP

the question is

is the R1 will learn the 10.1.1.5/32 and install on the routing table or reject it?

Thanks

Yes, R1 should place the /32 route in the routing table. Although it is learned from a source with a greater AD than its directly connected route, it is not comparable. The 2 routes are not comparable because they have different length prefixes. The longer prefix always wins, regardless of AD.
