Not very clear.

Please include the entire output and console log when trying to boot with the new IOS. If you do commands like "show boot" or "show device" please do not cut the output because ti makes impossible to understand what is going on.

c6k_sup2 processor with 524288 Kbytes of main memory

Autoboot executing command: "boot bootflash:c6sup22-psv-mz.121-25.E4.bin"

Self decompressing the image : ##############################################################################################

when the boot configuration is entered, the switch reload,an restart with old ios image in bootflash

After the image in bootflash starts, it should load the one in disk0: If does don't that, try formatting the bootflash completely, and remove the stamente from config. At this point it should load from disk0:

Before you do that, make sure the image in disk0: is valid and readable.

i had try to delete the last line of the bootvar, which is < boot system flash sup-bootflash:... > . but i still loaded ios from the sup-bootflash:

if the file can be upload to disk0:, does it mean that the disk0 is OK ?

i think maybe something goes wrong with my ATA PCMCIA card...

There is ".bin" missing in boot var:

"boot system flash disk0:s222-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF6."

should be

"boot system flash disk0:s222-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF6.bin"

Also, don't forget to do "copy run start", since bootvar is written in nv memory.

Good catch.

And the statement withe correct filename but without the "flash" keyword doesn't work as it a attempts to load via TFTP.

The configuration in the switch is "boot system flash ......bin", i forgot to write in the shown above ,thank you all the same

i will try again to upgrade the ios this week, and i'll take the result here
