Hello,

What happens to a router running ospf with maximum-path 2 , when I change it to maximum-paths 1?

Will this clear its route table? will this impact (close) any connections that is going through my router?

I'd also would like to know the same effect on BGP?

changing it from maximum-paths 2 to 1, will this cause any impact for users?

I dont have a lab to test this right now, any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

vlad

Any experts online?

I'd like to know what is the impact of changing maximum-path on a BGP router.

If I have 4 paths to the same destination and I'm using CEF per-destination load-balancing. What will happen to traffic when I change it from 2 to 4?

Will this cause any impact?

Do I need to clear bgp session in order to make a change in maximum-paths work?
