Up to 16 ports can be added to a LACP bundle. However, at most 8 ports will be active and carry data. The remaining ports will be in standby mode, waiting to replace another active port if it fails.
Note that the limit of 8 active ports in a bundle is reasonable. If you need more than 8 ports in an EtherChannel bundle, you should instead use a higher-speed Ethernet variant.
