memory

Sir,

We have a router which has got 32MB DRAM ( 27648K/5120K bytes). This figures we get by running show version command.

But when we run show memory , figures are different , why is it so ?

I am enclosing output of show memory..

regds,

aman

Re: memory

Hi Aman,

You are looking at part of "sh memory" command.

All physical memory (DRAM or SRAM) mapped into regions and memory pools (which you see with "sh mem" command) built from these regions. A memory pool can span multiple regions or span only subregion of a region.

The "sh memory" command shows the memory details in bytes. Have total "sh memory" output and add "Total" column in bytes and you will get correct figure.

To get more understanding, see and compare the colum "Start" in the output "sh region" command and column "Head" in"sh memory" command respectively.

Hope it clarifies your question.

Thank you,

Regards...
