metro ethernet configuration

we have hub and spoke topology. I have setup vlan interfaces for each site with trunking on the interface link between HQ and provider. I am experiencing some odd layer 2 behavior. Is there a more robust and stable method - configuration setup using layer three cisco switches at either end?

Re: metro ethernet configuration

Hi,

first thing to check would be your transport requirements (f.e. IP/non IP, bandwidth, etc.). Then you should check what your SP is offering.

You could also setup MPLS VPNs and run MPLS within one VLAN connecting all your sites.

With the limited amount of information you gave it is hard to give a reasonable advice.

Hope this helps

Martin
