Migrating to IPv6

Hi folks,

I am starting to migrate our network to IPV6. I am completely new to this and have been given the arduous task of completing it. Hoping anyone could provide some insights on where to begin such as documentations, config examples etc. I have found a few from the net and been doing some research.

BTW is IPv6 over IPv4 (tunneling) the way to go for this migration

You should implement a pilot test that involves at least two client vlans one with dual stack, one ipv6 only and then add the ipv6 features to infrastructure to verify access to server farm block and to internet.

DHCPv6 can provide also support for DNS: providing in router addvertisement the information of the DNS server(s) ipv6 address.

inside your campus network you should verify what platforms can be dual stack if all of them support it tunneling can be confined to access to remote sites (if using some forms of ipv4 managed services)

So double stack should be enough for inside the campus network
