MLPPP

We have two T1s going into a Larscom MegaT inverse multiplexer. The Larscom is old and I can't get the proprietary cables for it and it's another point of failure. I'm looking to bring the two T1s directly into our Cisco 2800 router via two DSU WIC cards which is running IOS 12.4. I would like to bond the two T1s and I believe MLPPP is the answer. In order to use MLPPP does my carrier of the two T1s has to support MLPPP on their end?

Thanks for any help.

Re: MLPPP

Well, in a way they should have one. the larscom used a proprietary method to for imux and something talking that should be on ISP side.

Else, the larscom is not configured as a true imux but is more like a router(I didn't know it was possible), a reason more so you can take it out.

Re: MLPPP

Yes. But if they just remove the imux on their end, things should work well even without MLPPP.

hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Re: MLPPP

Thank you for the reply. I don't believe they have an imux on their side just one on ours.

Thanks again.
