Modem Issue

I have a router setup with a the following under aux 0

exec-timeout 5 0

modem dialin

modem autoconfigure type usr_courier

transport input all

speed 115200

flowcontrol hardware

The flat blue cable is connect to the US Robotics and a modem line.  I try to dial into the router with Putty or Hyperterminal and I get connected with no character returns.  I have tried different dip switch settings but no luck.  Any suggestions?

Hi @thartmann,

You can try the following:

• Change the speed line with the "speed <speed>" line configuration command to 9600 which is the deafult value for most of Cisco devices.
• Make sure that in your terminal software you have the same speed value as your line aux 0 in the router.
