Hi,
Please how can I monitor or know the amount of packets flowing through the port of a router or switch.
Is it possible to see a real time flow statistics.
I configured 'ip route cache flow' on the interface of the router and I can use 'show ip cache flow' to see the outputs but in truth I dont know how to interprete the outputs.
Can some one help me with this, may be a link to a material that will give me more information or if there is any software I can down load on the end system to use to interpret the output.

show ip cache verbose flow will also show you the DSCP bit.
As far as softwares, we have NFC : cisco netflow collector. You can get a trial on our website.
There are other vendors that also have netflow products such as:
