MPLS on 1700, ver 12.4

I cannot configure MPLS on a 1700 router. Version 12.4!!

I type in

IP CEF then go under each interface either s0/0 or e0/0 type

type in MPLS IP

it says command unrecognized. What am I doing wrong ?

I can't configure it from both Priveledged or global mode

Please help.

MPLS is not supported under the 1700 Router. You need an 1805/1841/1861 with 12.4T Release for MPLS support on those entry level routers.

Are these the ONLY routers that support it 1805/1841/1861 with 12.4 ?? or there are other ones ?

Cisco has a big product line so I won't list every single router that support MPLS.

Best course of action for you is to check this website: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp and Select "Search By Feature".

The intended feature is MPLS.
