I'm configuring a new remote office edge, we have 2 ISP's and an MPLS connection back to the main office. The MPLS will be the primary route back to main office networks. I would like it to failover to the Internet connections when MPLS is down. I'm hopping to have this happen dynamically and fail back dynamically.
The 2 ISP's will peer to our 2 routers using BGP. I plan on running EIGRP on the inside of the 3 external routers. My questions are this, Should i set up an IBGP peering between all 3 of the routers? and how shall i influence the routing on the L3 switch to route to MPLS router as primary and ISP (s) as the secondary? take a look at my visio and tell me what you think?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
