As we know when multiple routers are connected to ethernet multiaccess segment only one will be the pim forwarder(DR) and other could be IGMP querier.See the diagram attached.
Now if R1 forwards the traffic to multicast host on the segment,Is the Multicast-traffic will be copied to switch port connected to R2 even though cgmp or snooping is enabled.

Hello,
some switch platforms like C6500 support the RGMP protocol for optimization of multicast traffic to router ports
see
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/ios/12.2SXF/configuration/guide/rgmp.html
Hope to help

Another approach is PIM snooping. Information on it can also be found off the reference Giuseppe provided, look for its chapter.
Also, not sure about mixing either on a network where there are also multicast receivers.
